Anger, resentment, complacency, sin

Freedom Worship Center is the answer to so many people’s prayers combined, and is a testimony to the power of prayer in our city. I truly believe that the reason god brought me here to Aberdeen, all the way from Richmond, Virginia, was to be a part of this congregation. When making my decision to transfer schools, for the first time in my life I truly humbled myself in prayer and asked got where is should be. Overwhelming the answer was Aberdeen, South Dakota. It was a hard decision to make but I knew in my heart that this was this place I was supposed to be. I struggled for a while with my decision and prayed for a place where I could worship the lord and grow in his presence. The first day that I stepped foot inside of Freedom Worship Center I knew immediately that this was the place that I was praying for.
I’ve learned my purpose in life through this church and the body of people there in. From day one, down to the smallest able child, I’ve received nothing but help and support. I’ve seen the true heart of god through the love and connections of the people in this church, in how they live their lives and associate with the community. Personally, with the help of Pastor Drew and the men of god that he has brought through this church, Jesus has healed me of my sins and past that I never thought I could be healed of. In a short time god has healed me of anger, resentment, mistrust, and complacency and has catapulted me into a new existence that is no longer filled with doubt but with promises from the lord.
As we’ve learned here at Freedom Worship Center, that the promises of the lord are there for everyone to grasp, but it’s up to us to know and understand them, and to also have faith in them. So I thank Pastor Drew and Christi Becker, for showing me the straight path and consistently equipping me with the tools to travel that path. I also want to give a special thanks to Pastor John Flemmer for living an example that young people like me can follow. Your knowledge, faithfulness, and love for the lord is a constant inspiration not just to me, but to all of the young people in our church and the community.
What I’ve learned from the people of this church has not only affected me but the people around me and my family. Through the help and prayers of my pastor, Jesus has opened up lines of communication between two members of my family that have been closed for over six years. Praise God, where there was darkness there is now light. I’m so excited for the vision of this church and where god is leading it. I pray that if you haven’t joined us yet that you don’t let this opportunity to grow and discover your place with the lord.
