"Then He went out from there and came to His own country, and his disciples followed Him."   Mark 6:1

Are you a disciple of the LORD JESUS CHRIST?  Many people proclaim to be a Christian, but are you a disciple?  To be a disciple is to be a learner or a pupil.  As Christians, we are to be pupils of Jesus.  The only way we can be pupils of Jesus is by following Jesus.

The idea of following someone is a hard concept for many American believers.  To follow Christ is to walk in the path He has set before us, not the path we have set.  We have agendas, but are they God's agenda for our lives?

Martin Luther once said, "A religion that gives nothing, costs nothing, and suffers nothing, is worth nothing."  I agree with this.  When Jesus told certain men to follow him the Bible declares, "Immediately they left their nets and followed Him (Matt. 4:20)."  It cost them their livelihood and everything they knew.  What is Jesus asking of you today?  Are you willing to be His Disciple?
