Be Brave & Courageous! - Pastor Drew
May 26, 2010

"Wait patiently for the LORD.  Be brave and courageous.  Yes, wait patiently for the LORD."  Psalm 27:14

If you are going to fulfill the purposes and plans of God for your life, you must be brave and courageous.  When you set your heart on God and His plan, know this, you will have resistance to that plan.  Resistance comes from your flesh, people who don't understand, and demonic forces that want you to be non-effective for God's Kingdom purposes.  Are you ready to be courageous?

Ralph Waldo Emerson once said, "Whatever you do, you need courage. Whatever course you decide upon, there is always someone to tell you that you are wrong. There are always difficulties arising that tempt you to believe your critics are right. To map out a course of action and follow it to an end requires some of the same courage that a soldier needs. Peace has its victories, but it takes brave men and women to win them."  You have need of courage in this hour!

Adrian Rogers tells about the man who bragged that he had cut off the tail of a man-eating lion with his pocket knife. Asked why he hadn't cut off the lion's head, the man replied: "Someone had already done that."  (

My prayer for you today is to face your giants or problems head on.  Don't run from the battle, run to the battle and resolve the issues at hand.  Be brave and of good courage!  God is on your side, who can be against you?  Greater is He that is in you than he that is in the world!

Blessings on you!
