Lazarus, come forth! - Pastor Drew

"Lazarus, come forth!" John 11:43
Lazarus was dead for four days. Hoplessness and despair had struck the heart of his loved ones. Jesus shows up on the scene after the fact and Martha and Mary were disappointed because they were hoping Jesus would prevent this death from happening period.
Jesus is never late. We are late. We miss God at times. But Jesus is never early or never late - He is always on time no matter how threatening the situation is.
It was difficult for people to believe there was any hope left. After four days of lying in a tomb with grave clothes on, the body probably had a stench and was beginning to decay. This didn't hinder Jesus whatsoever. Jesus looks beyond the circumstances, speaks life into a situation, and watches the Glory of God manifest (John 11:40).
What's the lazarus in your life? What appears to be a dead and hopless situation? Could it be that Jesus wants you to believe for a miracle? Jesus said to Martha, "Did I not say to you that if you would believe you would see the glory of God (John 11:40)?" I encourage you today to believe Jesus for miracles in your life. Don't let the stench of this problem overtake you. Overcome this problem with your faith in the Lord Jesus Christ!
Blessings on you today!
