"Honey seems tasteless to a person who is full, but even bitter food tastes sweet to the hungry."  Proverbs 27:7


Have you ever been so hungry that you would eat about anything served to you?  I have watched my children eat things that they normally wouldn't consider great, but because they were hungry, the food was a great delight to them.

When we hunger after God - even the little things said or done stick out to us.  I remember in 1991 I was so hungry for God that even the most boring of preachers interested me because I was hungry for God's Word.  At a funeral I attended, I got blessed, not because the preacher was all that great but the Word was served and I was hungry.

The Israelites became hungry in the wilderness and God fed them daily with manna.  Jesus said, "I assure you, Moses didn't give them bread from heaven.  My father did.  And now he offers you the true bread from heaven.  The true bread of God is the one who comes down from heaven and gives life to the world (John 6:32-33)."  That true bread is JESUS!  We will only be satisfied in this life when we come to JESUS and eat of Him.  If you are hungry for that spiritual food today - come to JESUS!  He will satisfy.
