Put Your Trust In God - Pastor Drew

"You heard their cries for help and saved them. They put their trust in you and were never disappointed." Psalm 22:5
Disappointment is the fruit that we bear when we have misplaced our trust. The Psalmist sang, "They put their trust in You and were never disappointed." When our trust is placed upon the Lord - we will never be disappointed!
Uncle Oscar was apprehensive about his first airplane ride. His friends, eager to hear how it went, asked if he enjoyed the flight. "Well," commented Uncle Oscar, "it wasn't as bad as I thought it might be, but I'll tell you this. I never did put all my weight down!" (www.sermonillustrations.com). How many never put all their trust in God? We speak by our actions more than we do by our words. If I am placing all my trust in God, my actions in every area of life will prove that.
The word disappoint means: to fail to fulfill the expectations or wishes of, to defeat the fulfillment of (hopes, plans, etc.); thwart; frustrate (www.dictionary.com). When our trust is in God's Word - we will never be disappointed. God doesn't just give us His word - He acts upon His Word. It's hard to find people who keep their word, but God, He keeps His Word. He will not frustrate you but prove to you that His Word is tried and true!
"Forever, O LORD, your word stands firm in heaven. Your faithfulness extends to every generation, as enduring as the earth you created (Psalm 119:89-90)." Be of good cheer today - God's word forever stands the test of time. Your circumstances will shift - but God's Word will never be changed!
Your disappointment will be erased by God's Appointment!
Blessings on you today!
